Hello all,

A secondhand ( maybe third or fourth ) but good priced linear needs
modification, is it worthwhile? Who can help ?
FL2277b type .......on the frontpanel. I was told it is a Sommerkamp. Only
160-80-40-20-15-10 bands. In fact the amp. is a rescued one from a seizure
and destruction repaired with original parts.
Have a bad copy of the Manuel FL-2100z from Yeasu.
Slightly different, since FL2100z has also 10-18-24.5 bands.
Modifying this amp should be possible
and make it work on all bands. Someone did this already before?
Where to find original Yeasu parts, such as anode choke, steatite wafers for
band switch. additional inductors for input circuit, and if needed tank
coil............... Or would we buy a new Amp. ?
What do other people think about such a project ?
Fourty years ago, sure I should have done it, but now, in this day and age
!!!!
Thanks for any reply.

ps: Hope there is no virus. Norton takes care, but it seems they can't
repair the "Bugbear" just put it in quarantine, so i hope it will not get
out of my system.............
