I certainly agree with Jon Ogden, NA9D, on all points except the
application of anti-corrosion compound. Mechanical joints require
application of appropriate anti-corrosion compound. They also require
frequent inspection and cleaning, with replacement of the compound, at
least annually and more often in some cases. ICE offers different
anti-corrosion compounds for different joining materials. I recommend
studying their products and recommendations for their use.
It is better to provide welded connections, using systems like Cadweld.

therfc.com for more information. These systems or the devices they
demand appear somewhat expensive, until one considers their value or the
cost of not using them, at least on the more significant parts of the
lightning dissipation system. I look forward to hearing more about
these welding systems.
