 Let's say you intend to use your tower to support one end of a wire beam, and 
not to put any antenna on top of the tower.  Assume the tower is rated at "X" 
square feet of wind load, and the wire beam will exert "Y" pounds of tension 
laterally on the top of the tower.  How can you determine whether the tower's 
loading capacity would be exceeded by the lateral load, so that it would become 
necessary to back-guy the tower?  Thanks for your thoughts.  Bill Crowell, N6AYJ
