I want to mount a quarter-wave SteppIR 40M vertical 25 feet away from a 50
foot tower that supports a SteppIR 3L Yagi. I can fully lower the vertical
when using the Yagi, if necessary, so I don't expect any problem with the
Yagi. And I can fully retract the SteppIR yagi elements when using the
vertical, in effect leaving only the 16 foot boom and the passive 6M
element. Should I expect the vertical to interact with the tower?
If 25 feet is absolutely too close, what would be the minimum acceptable
separation?
