I don't like the stuff for coating tool handles, but prefer the "liquid
electrical tape" which is carried by Ace Hardware and I think possibly
Lowe's.

It comes in several colors.  I normally use two applications

Roger Halstead (K8RI, EN73 & ARRL Life Member)
N833R, World's Oldest Debonair (S# CD-2)
