I dont know if the G450 is similar to my G1000 control boxes, but mine have
a "Jones" type connector on the rear of the control box. I always thought
that was a nice feature, because I could disconect it easily when there was
a storm. I had intentions of getting some mating coonectors that I could tie
all the pins together on, and ground them, but have to admit I never got
around to it yet! I have had a static related problem in my Yaesu rotors.
There are a couple of feedthru bypass caps on the motor leads in the rotor
itself (on my G1000SDX rotors) and I have had a feedthru break down and show
leakage to ground. The resulting symptom was that the rotor turned slower in
one direction than the other. GL 73   JACK
