Yes there apparently is a virus/worm running rampant because I've been getting similar messages, particularly with aol extensions. That is not a criticism of anyone who uses AOL, just that where the worm seems to be attacking.

PS: All incoming and outgoing e-mails are scanned with Norton 2003 AV which is connected to liveupdate and my computer is scanned by Norton at least once a day.
