Hi Gary again,

I don´t know your exprience about Antennas.
I´ll say you buy only a half of a real Antenna!!
Wy? The second Part of this Antenna is a good Reflector
The Groundplane works only like expectet over a good Soil like Saltwater.
But how nose has Saltwater in his Garden? Nobody!
The conductivity must ideal the same, but this is the most difficult Part
of this Antenna.
SWR is one Part you have to handle it...effectifity the onother Part.
Effectifity you cannot measure.
Example: Feedpoint Resinstance is mayby perfect 50 ohms but you have
bad ground conductifity or to less or to short Radials
you lost 90 percent of you Input Power in the Ground.
Only 10 percent will radiate.
A simple Dipol has 90 percent radiation!!

Please read this www.astrosurf.com/lombry/qsl-radials.htm
and you see much more in the Fog.
