The current plentiful interest in modifying current Steppir yagis is in sharp
contrast to my posting of Oct 7 2004. That posting suggested two possible
modifications:
The first would be a two element mini monster (40-6or 10M) with the existing
full length elements. This antenna would have a wind load capablity enabling
its use in crankup towers and would also simplify installing on the tower
because the boom and elements could be installed at ground level by tilting the
tower.

The other modification would be to add 75/80m capability to the existing
Monster by using either loading coils or linear loading. The comments to this
idea was that it wouldn't work due to impedance problems. It would seem that
if this loading might work to enable shortening the existing monster yagi that
it ought to work for adding 80/40 to the existing full size monster. ( or to a
2 element version)
