My experience with three Orion 2800PDC rotators has been
excellent with absolutely no failures in nearly eight years of use.
This is with very heavily constructed 48 foot booms HF Yagis
on 200 foot towers with unobstructed terrain for many miles.
These are very robust rotators!

I've also had no difficulty at all with unreliable direction indication,
even though I do not use RG-58 for the pulse circuit. Perhaps
the secret to my success is that the wires for the motor circuit
run is a completely separate cable from the pulse circuit.
