Yes, I have done it before, remember no feedback when you hit the stops.

I have both a G-2800DXA and G-1000DXA rotator at my station.  The control
boxes for both were damaged in a recent lightning strike and are back at the
factory for repair.

Can I still rotate the antennas by applying 12VDC to the rotator motor?
Looking at the schematic, it appears this would be possible, but I wonder if
anyone has tried this.
