I would go for it; I gave up trying to get information out of US towers 15
years ago. With a little common sense and help from people here you will
have no problem. After all hundreds of Hams are users of US towers and have
managed just fine. My premise is if I have to give anything a second
thought about being safe, it probably isn't.

I asked earlier about crank-ups in general and "Heights" aluminum ones
in particular.

Since then I have had extensive email correspondence (and a long
telephone conversation) with a person who sells and installs both the
Heights towers and the US Tower models (steel) and even owns one of each.

It seems that although everyone (even the authorized installers) agrees
that it's difficult to get detailed installation instructions from US
Tower, I'm coming to the view that one of theirs might be the most
satisfactory for me -- and perhaps cheaper in the long run.

Among the things that have led me to this position is the availability
on the 'Net of step-by-step pictures of how other people have installed
theirs.

(although I don't like the look of his rebar cage)
