I believe they are "ground cloth" staples. Not at all expensive. At least
I hope not as we used them by the hundreds for landscaping around the yard.
The ones we use are about an inch across a relatively flat top, about 6 or 8
inches long and fairly rigid and can be driven in with a "dead blow" hammer.
(Hammer filled with lead shot)
