        Don't depend on phone calls  to get anywhere. Besides, if you talk to 
3 different people in the building  department you're liable to get 3 
different interpretations.
 
        Go to the department office  and buy a copy of the building codes. 
Then go thru it and see what applies to  you and what doesn't. By the time 
you're done you'll probably know more about  their tower regs than they do. 
 
        And of course the  outstanding tower zoning book by Fred, K1VR, will 
guide you thru every step  along the way.
