How about putting some slightly oversize PVC tubing over the elements?
They'd NEVER be able to perch on that antenna - they'll just roll off!
Joe Rudi, NK7U, (does anyone know how he's doing after his tower
accident?) built his second station next to a wildlife preserve and had some
big
birds used his antennas for perches. They turned elements, broke them and made
it a no-win situation for a nice multi-op station. He has built his third
station at another location.
