EVERY, EVERY steel column installed (in the building industry), on mounting
bolts required
non shrinkable grouting.
It was the law.
I even see street light posts & traffic signal posts being grouted.
Here in Chicago, we try to prevent water from pooling and creating ice in bad
weather.
