First of all, thank you to the many responses. My hy-gain manual for the 204ba has an error. According to the manual that I have, the RF choke is 12 turns on 11inch diameter....definitely should be on a 6 in diameter since all the other manuals specify 6 inches. Could that be the source of my problem?
