Jon,

Since your area is in a 90 mph zone, why take a chance? Looking at the Rohn
specs, the lower guy is up 28' and out 48'. Tangent is 28/48=.58333. If you
install an aboveground steel post for your guys, 6' above ground,
6/.5833=10.3'. In other words, you can move your guy point in to 37.7'. Just
a thought. May not work for you.

I would like to place the downguys at a shorter distance than the 80%
spec'ed by Rohn. I surveyed my property and calculated (with AutoCAD) that
I can get guy leads of 41.28' (69% of 60', 67% of 61.5'). Do you think guy
leads at 67%-69% instead of 80% would be safe? Thanks for any help on this.
    I appreciate it.

  Jon N7XW
