with the thread going about the PVCC double L antenna, i got out my heath
antenna bridge and found out that the resonant impedance of mine was
about 25-30 ohms.

but i would like to use ladder line, and thought if i double up the wire
thus making the double L elements "folded; wa la.... a 300 ohm dipole
with zero element wire spacing. on the low bands usually one uses 300 ohm
twin lead for the antenna and the feed line, but what is the penalty of
just using the single antenna wire (insulated of course) folded back upon
itself instead of store bought twin lead for the elements?

thanks mike w7dra
