I have a 1000 rotating a fairly large antenna array (40M rotatable dipole; 8
element 14-30 MHz log; Yagi's for: 6M, 2M, 220 MHZ, 432 MHz, & 1296 MHZ;
Horizontal Loops for: 6M & 2M; 6M, 2M, & 70 cm Vertical; & an OB2 [Dual FAA
Obstruction Lamps])

It's been going for a year now with no problems. I've got a 2800 to
eventually swap inline.

1000 Pluses:
90 Degree Overlap (450 degree rotation)
Good Mast Clamping Arrangement
No Brake To Deactivate
Displays Direction When Controller Turned Off

1000 Minuses:
Rotator connector very susceptible to moisture- must be waterproofed very
well
Controller More Complicated that Ham IV (more possible failure modes)
