Hi Bill

I am starting to understand the guy tension subject now. In years past, 
local hams pulled on the guys and if the tower was straight, clamped it.

I have to get a tension gauge. I found a neat and simple way to calibrate 
(or check calibration of) the Loos without any elaborate equipment so I'll 
pick up a PT-2. (Shameless plug for best price I found - 
http://www.onlinemarine.com - Loos PT2 $64.99 )

That said, I think I'm leaning towards 3/16 7x19 zinc-plated (rather than 
galvanized) EHS for all but the upper guys. (Nuther shameless plug - 
McMaster.com - Part Number:  3450T41 $0.52 per Ft.  I found that TexasTowers 
has 4000# Philly for.89/foot.)  I could then hang inverted Vees along the 
top guys for 80 or 160.
