I am not sure where the thread came from....

Recently I observed a local company installing alert sireens and using a 45 
lbs jack hammer with a special attachment to drive ground rods.  They had 
an air driven jackhammer.  

So I checked and the HomeDepot rents an electric jack hammer with the 
attachment.  I have not tried it myself, but am coming closer to starting the 
ground installation for three towers here in SE Alabama.  The ground 
composition is about 8" of mixed sand/top soil and light/medium orange 
clay below that.  

If anyone is interested then I will report my success or difficulties when the 
time comes... hi
