Detuning can certainly reduce interactions.

But there is no free lunch.  Adding relays to the linear loading wires adds 
additional points of mechanical and electrical failure to the system.  And 
those points of failure will be 100ft in the air and probably not 
serviceable from the tower. If the 80m yagi fails mechanically which is very 
likely it will take out the antennas below it when it disintegrates.

And it seems that it would be best to be able to use 80m and 20m 
simultaneously.  Both can be open at the same time!  Probably not in the 
same direction.

If possible it would be best, if possible, to have the 80m and 20m antennae 
on different towers. Less interaction, less points of failure, ability to 
use both bands simultaneously.
