I am in the process of obtaining a permit to put up a 70 foot tower,
and I have been requested to "Provide evidence that the tower
complies with FAA regulations and does not present a danger to
navigation."
I'm 25 miles from the nearest airport, surrounded by trees as high or
higher than the tower, and less than a mile from three broadcast
towers that are hundreds of feet high. My county planners should
(hopefully!) be receptive to these "common sense" arguments (they
have been so far), as long as I can provide a little bit of meat as
well.
Can somebody point me to specific FAA regulations that I can quote
that say that I'm OK since since I'm farther than XXX miles from an
airport, under XXX feet high, etc.
Thanks and 73,
Rob, KA1ARB
