Why spend big bucks on LMR 600. For the same price or less you can get used
7/8 inch Heliax. Lots of times you can even get the ends included. There
is usually some of it around at most of the bigger hamfests. Even if the ends
are not included you can pick them up used pretty cheaply, or even make your
own. Lots of guys have posted on how to do this
The size you're looking for is not all that big and could easily be done
with two pieces of shorter length butted together. My guess is you should be
able to find the length you need for less than $200...and the loss on the
Heliax is super for the length you need.
