I grew up in Nortth Central Wisconsins in the 50s and 60's. Coldest I
remember was minus 54 F. Thats not wind chill, but actual temperature.
Could not drive my new 71 Camero because the rubber tires were frozen
and had a flat spot. Got moving when it went all the way up to -45 that
day.

Living on Marylands lovely eastern shore +30 degrees is far colder here
than -20 was back home. Its always damp here and the cold goes right
through you. In Wisconsin you could comfortably work outside in a wool
shirt well below zero.

Give me Maine winters anytime. We keep talking about moving back to
Wisconsin, and may do so. Its the black hole of Wsiconsin and the
absolute RF magic of this spot that keeps me here, not winter weather.
And I'm too old for more tower erections. And so it goes 73 bob de w9ge
