I did just this quite some time ago...  8 or 9 delta loop elements hanging 
from a 120 foot rope on a pretty decent hillside.  The rope may have been up 60 
feet, but the foreground sloped down several hundred feet more.
 
It was aimed at Europe. Quite the bomb in WAE and CQ-M contests running a 
barefoot Icom 701.  In fact, I dont think I ever reproduced those rates with 
anything since...  That includes a KW into a 3 / 3 Telrex 20M stack from a big 
time hill top.  Not bad for an antenna costing under $100 bucks.
 
Of course, SE Asia was a real problem!
