Is it considered good practice or unnecessary lily-gilding to use Noalox on
the joints of minibox-style unpainted aluminum boxes that are used for
housing antenna switching relays and similar hardware in an SO2R
system? Does it offer any improvement in shielding at HF, or are the
cracks small enough and the electrical contact offered by the 4
self-tapping screws on each box sufficient to prevent any significant leakage?
