Subject: [TowerTalk] Detuning booms?

I swear I've seen stuff on detuning a boom. I even thought I saw it in the
ARRL Antenna handbook. However, I can't seem to anything.

(I have found stuff about detuning towers).

Any references?

A capacitor parallel to part of the boom does that very well.
I use that for the other way round, to tune my 40m yagi into a 80m dipol (by
gamma match).
