I have a tennis ball launcher, works great, it'll go over a 150 ft tree
easily. I use approx 45 psi of co2 in it. I've shot tennis balls over 2
trees at once before, both 70' tall and approx 100' apart. More pressure
doesn't make the ball go much further, as the ball is out of the barrel
before the air charge is through the valve from the tank.

The tennis balls loose kinetic energy fast, they land softly. An arrow is
still a projectile, be wary of those and things shot from slingshots. (If
you do use a slingshot, remember to paint the sinkers dayglow orange or pink
or something to make them easier to find.

The tennis ball launcher is a little dangerous too, I'd hate to be hit by
one, but it has less of a pontential vs. an arrow or a piece of lead.

Remember that launching ANYTHING is hazardous, wear eye protection and make
sure you don't have anything in your firing line you don't intend to hit.

Hello,

I know this is an age old question. What is your best recommendation
on getting some ropes in the tops of my 80 - 100 FT (25 - 33 M) pine
trees ? I have heard a sling shot or bow and arrow can work. I have
good access to the trees but there are too many trees to try getting a
balloon supported line over.

Thank you,

Eric N4HGZ
