The fact that 15 and 10 are good, this tells me the tips are not the
correct length. Check those again and post a SWR curve.
Remember, when you tune any tri-bander (for the most part), you start
with 10, then 15 (which uses the 10 and 15 sections), then lastly, 20
meter which is everything PAST the second set of capacitors...which are
the tips! :-)

I have converted a KLM KT34XA to a KT36XA and have run into a problem
with
SWR on 20 meters. The SWR curves are almost flat on 15 and 10 but the 20
meter curves are wacky. The resonance is no where around 14 MHz but
begins
to improve around 16 MHz.
Element/capacitor lengths have been rechecked several times and appear
to be
correct.
Any thoughts or suggestions.
