I would caution that RG-213 and LMR400 are not the same when it comes to UHF
connectors.  I find that the connectors that require soldered center pins
(which seems to be the preferred method being discussed in this group and I
agree) do work on both RG-213 and LMR400 but a "crimp" connector for RG-213
will not work on LMR400.  The solid center wire of the LMR400 is slightly
larger (0.116") than the stranded center connector of the RG-213 (0.100").
A specific example is the Amphenol 182102 UHF crimp connector which works
fine on RG-213 but will not work on LMR400.  The outer braid connection of
RG-213/LMR400/9913 are exactly the same (0.429").  Ken K5RG
