I'll echo the part about the AN Wireless towers. I have two large
Optibeam antennas (in excess of 20 sq ft of surface area) on top of a
70' heavy duty AN Wireless freestanding tower. I also have a recording
wind gauge up there. I live at the southern end of a mountain range in
an area where the prevailing winds are from the southwest, which causes
highly unpredictable wind gusts in the form of swirlers that roar down
off the ridge line above me. Some of them literally sound like freight
trains and the whipping they give the trees in their path is a sight to
behold.

I've been up at the top of my tower during 65+ mph wind gusts and the
tower barely moves. I've stood at the bottom of the tower in 95+ mph
wind gusts and watched the antennas take a thrashing while I can discern
no obvious sway from the tower. And trust me ... as someone who has
been afraid of heights my entire life I am seriously sensitive to such
things. My full body harness and my AN Wireless tower give me a sense
of security I doubt I would otherwise have, and the specs for the gauge
and strength of the steel they use (anyone can look them up) justify
that as well.

For what it's worth, Warren lives only 50 or 60 miles from me.
