Hello all
A friend has asked if I can mend his 23cms aerial from M Squared. It was
dropped and the boom has fractured just beyond the joiner, which is a 7/8"
diameter sleeve 6 inches long.
What I hope to do is to provide a longer sleeve, which will go over the
original join and the fracture.
The material needed is a 10 to 12 inch length of 7/8" OD aluminium tube,
with a wall thickness of 0.058". The wall thickness is important, so that it
slides snugly over the boom. The nearest I can get here is 0.048" which will
be a sloppy fit.
I can see that DX Engineering has exactly what I want, but there's a $20
minimum order and $33 carriage to the UK. So, I know it's a long shot, but
does anyone here have a suitable offcut ? I can pay with Paypal.
