The DX Engineering brackets are for a 7/8 element. I have some black
insulated brackets from the old N0XX/7 DX Engineering company that attach a
5/8" diameter element to a 2" boom which may work.

The element brackets used on the 6m beam are identical to those on the
KLM 10m yagi.
Had 6 of them here ... sold some .. not sure where the rest are
located. Probably in a box in the garage.

We recently had our utilities run underground to resolve some problems. Left
is a coil of 5/16" diameter stranded aluminum power line, about 100' or more.
Twoof the wires are black insulated, one is the ground return.
Is this stuff suitable for guying a tower or making a "last forever" wire
antenna ofsome sort?
Would enjoy hearing responses to this.

Not so great as a guy wire (very little strength compared to steel)
probably last forever as a wire antenna.
Aluminum has higher loss than copper, but big diameter makes up for a lot.

As long as the antennas is not very long.. Sounds like about #6 or #4
lead which is nearly dead soft. There's a reason they hang it from a
messenger for overhead lines. We have 00 underground, but it's copper to
the meter and Al from there to the panel. The Al fed with 00 Cu is
really big.
OTOH there's no reason not to give it a try unless it goes over a power
feed.

The voltages are compatible. Be aware there are SDX and DXA versions and
you might want to do some checking before just connecting them together.

I wouldn't trust it as guy wires. The wire is intended to conduct current.
If you open up a little of the cable and "mess around" with the wires you
find them very brittle. If they left some 5/16 galvanized steel, that's a
different story.
To use it for antennas should be OK, a little heavy though. You will notice
if you stretch it too hard.

My 88H400 came with a small PWB that plugged into the Kenwood TS-940, among
others.
In general, it was sold as a higher-performance (i.e., steeper skirts)
replacement for the 500 Hz stock Kenwood high-IF plug-in filter.
The value of yours probably depends heavily on whether it has the Kenwood
adapter board with it.
