I have had similar problems with SWR and I found that once a year, I have to
remove all of the hardware, clean all metal surfaces that are joined by
screws using a small wire brush, then putting Penetrox paste on those
joints.
All SWR problems then go away.
It is very wet here in FL and aluminum oxide shows up on antennas.
