After they return dry fit then on the ground and use a file or grinding disc
and remove how much material it take to make the slide together. You can
also use roll sandpaper that plumber use to clean copper pipes. Also use
anti seize on the joints. I had large frame galvanized for the top of my
SSMW and had to run taps though the holes but they had plug them but there
was still leakage into the holes. I expected as much. 73 Gene K2QWD

I'm considering purchasing some older Rohn 45G/55G tower and having it
re-galvanized.
The tower is structurally sound, and I'd like it to stay that way as long as
possible.
My concern is whether the galvanizing process would add material at the tops
of bottoms of the sections so as to make them impossible to fit together.
Has anyone here had a tower re-dipped, and if so, what extra measures did
you use to prevent this problem, if any?
