I am a member of 3 clubs that provide a remote HF portal. 1 is a 501(c)3 so we
can write off donations, 1 is not so we can not write off donations and 1 is an
individual who owns all that is donated to the cause.

1 is a modest station, 1 is not quite a lil' gun and 1 is a big gun. I have
donated money and equipment to all 3, but I don't use them. I believe it is
good that all appropriately licensed hams have access to HF if they want it.

Keith, W7DXX, has researched this issue.

I know there are others out there, and there is 1 that has a very impressive
membership fee. Not quite Formula one but near that of a top placing NASCAR
team.

I also can provide a remote HF portal to others should I wish to. My station is
probably a lil' gun+, depending if the antenna is cranked up or not.  lol
