I have owned several Universal Towers and found that the factory supplied
hardware badly corroded inside the tubing. Actually it was amazing that the
tower held together. After I discovered this problem I started using
stainless steel hardware and have experience no issues, even in salty Aruba.
I too noticed water in the steel base legs so I filled them with concrete.
Do not do anything to obstruct drainage of the aluminum tower sections.

Hello , I am using a universal free standing aluminium tower . I will be
performing maintenance to it very soon . my 1st question is ... is it ok to
use stanless steel boltswith the Aluminum ? 2nd I noticed my tower legs
which are embedded in the concrete base are collecting water . What is the
fix for this ? thanks for all your help in advance . De kb2huk John Molenda
