You might be able to outfox some Google search results, but not every single
one.




Not necessarily the case here, but there is some span of time where things don't show up in Google, although it might have been published. For instance, a lot of older technical reports from government agencies (NBS) or older journals may be on line, but haven't been OCR processed for indexing, so google doesn't find them.

For instance, J.P. Costas's paper on why suppressed carrier is a better modulation (Poisson, Shannon and the Radio Amateur, Proc. IRE 1959) doesn't show up if you search on a bunch of logical things (DSB, Amateur Radio, etc.
