It can be accomplished either with a balun or 1/4 wave matching sections as mentioned earlier. I have used both the 3 and the 5 band Lightning Bolt quads. The triband model was easily fed with the balun. The 5 band model, although they furnished a matching transformer, would never work right hence I went with the matching sections on that one.

I am looking to put up a triband quad loop for this upcoming contest season. i have limited space and i have to take it down after the weekend. Can feed all 3 wires at the same time like a triband yagi or do I need to switch them?
