The phasing capacitor, an AC one, can lose its capacity with
age. Most times a sluggish rotator can be corrected with a new
capacitor. An over abundance of capacitance and voltage rating, in
the new AC capacitor, doesn't seem to affect the rotator's new
performance . You will probably have difficulty in getting the exact
rating and size locally. I've even had to mount a new larger sized
capacitor externally to the control box. Fortunately its leads go
across two of the external interface terminals.
