Can you hear a difference of 1.2 dB on the other end? That's about one fifth of 
an S unit.

##  U ..forgot the 1.2 db of coax loss, from the 100 ft of 213 U on
10m band.   So now you have a total loss of  2.4 db. 

##  Your total ..systems loss is 2.4 db..... which is a helluva lot..on any 
band. 
That’s unacceptable loss imo. 

##  BTW, an S unit is not 6 db.  Its about 1-2 db max on icoms, and most other
rice boxes.   Switch in 6db of attenuation and you will see for your self. Turn 
on all
the pre-amps on any icom.... and they are 7 uv  for an S-9 signal...which is 
laughable.
