When I assembled my new-to-me C-4XL, I used
"corrosion-resistant blind rivets" (316SS) from
McMaster-Carr, per recommendations found on TT
(http://www.mcmaster.com/#blind-rivets/=10fz0mv).

I just used the same number of rivets in the
same places as per original manufacture. So far,
after 4 years and several nasty storms, so good.
There were only a couple hundred so 1/8" diameter
rivets, and my hand riveter worked fine.
