Hi All, the only Philly grip failure I have heard of was when an installer
used a large EHS grip with HPTG6700 Phillystran.

The factory did pull tests back when the grip method was initiated. They
did this to be sure the new method was adequate and safe.

My recollection is the Phillystran grips are wound in the opposite
direction of the EHS grips. I will check that tomorrow to be sure and refresh
my
memory.

Question..I have a tower to put up for a ham in the Atl area.. He is using
PhillyStrand for the top set of guys,, and steel 1X7 EHS below that.. He
ordered it from the most famous place,, and they sent guy grips,,, what we
call performs for the phillystrand..Has any of you done this before ?? I
have never used them on Philly. Seems to me that philly is too soft and
pliable not to allow gripping strength. A steel cable is not giving and the
grip has positive gripping. So,, what has anyone done along this idea. I
want to know that the top set of philly is not going anywhere while I am on
this tower...73 Dan N4GNR
