We did use the elevated radials for the 40m 4-sq in VU4KV and it worked very 
well.However, it will be a dog to tune, if it is a multiband vertical and the 
interaction betweenthe radials can be a pain in the elevated configuration.

What is proven, as other DXpeditioners have documented, is that elevated
radials for a vertical close to the tide line work extremely well. Also,
Al Christman K3LC modeled this extensively in a NCJ 3 part series
published in 2005.
