In the meantime -- you might try a 1/4 sloper -- don't mount it at the very top of your tower/pole -- about 6' down worky worky! You might be pleasantly surprised!

I've always dreamed of having some directivity on 40 meters. I've heard several references to a 'shorty 40', but when I look on the web all I find is an old Moseley design. I don't want to re-ignite the Moseley wars, but I would be happy if someone could point me at an a 40 meter beam that might be able to fit on a city lot.
