The method I've used several times, including a Mid-Tri (without 40
meters), was to remove the elements after fit and measurement check,
raise the boom parallel to the tower, and install the elements on the
tower. I do it this way because there simply isn't room to raise a
tribander any other way. I start by installing the first element just
above the guy wire, raising the boom as I install additional elements
until the middle of the boom as at the guy wires. Then I install the
remaining elements below the guy wires. Finally, with the antenna well
balanced and supported by a rope, I first rotate the boom to horizontal,
then elements to horizontal. the antenna can then be lifted up to the
mast. With a hand winch and some rigging, this can be done by one
person. Just be sure that when you put up the second one just above the
lower guys, that there isn't a crab tree in the way down below.
There are some photos of the operation here:

Hi John and Dan,
Tram's are useful and preferred and I have used them wherever
possible; however, in heavily forested areas away from paved roads or
driveways, and especially with ledge and highly uneven terrain, there
may not be the clearance to tram up antennas beyond a certain height,
if at all. In those instances, alternative methods, like removing a
guy wire, may be the only way possible to get an antenna up the tower,
and, if it can be done properly, there is no reason to avoid it.
Which is why I had to do that at my qth for one of my towers.
Years later after removing more trees and having a few hurricanes and
tornados remove additional trees for me ;-) now all antennas can be
trammed up at my qth.

I previously responded to the guy wire removal part of the question
but Dan
is right about traming higher to clear the guy. It can even be done
without
a tram and without removing guys. I have installed many large
antennas in
the middle of a tower by having the pull rope pulley near the top of the
tower and just pulling the antenna away around the guys as it is raised.

Forget the guy wire complications. Tram to a higher spot, say 70'
nominally, then it is relatively trivial to drop the antenna into place.

I am hoisting JK Mid Tri (100 lb) to 65' on a 100' 45G. There are 3
sets of
guy wires at 32', 62' and 95'. I am not clearing one guy at 62'. If I
remove that guy wire, should I loosen the other guy wires at 62', to
avoid
potential bending?
