I have the G1000.  It is on my workbench for repair.
The manual I have is for 800, 1000 and 2800.  Wiring diagrams for 800 and 1000
are identical.  Pins 4 and 5 are motor windings.  My Fluke Multimeter reads
12.4 ohms across 4 and 5 until the CCW limit switch is engaged, then it rises
to open.  When the CW limit switch is engaged it rises to 4.33K ohms.  Voltage
across 4 and 5 is about +-10V when control buttons CW and CCW are pressed.
Hope this helps.
BTW, my rotator turns, but the direction indicator does not move.  The pot
reads open, and the wiper goes from zero to about 450 ohms, then jumps to open.
Know where I can get a new pot?

I have a Yaesu G800 (I think; it has  been up for years), and a G1000 DXA
control box that I have been using with it for several years. All of a
sudden today the rotor does not turn. The dial lights, and it indicates the
correct direction of the antenna, but pushing either of the rotate controls
does not seem to do anything. Is there an "easy" way to determine whether
the problem is with the rotor, the control, or the cable?
