I don't know about the 12V motor in the PST61, but back in 2021 Jay WX0B gave me the following info on the current draw for the 24V motor in PST-71D:

/"The motor is a 24 VDC motor and 3 amps surge start current
depending on load, but running is less than an amp./
/The Prosistel controller has Transformer taps that you can go to
say 30 V tap vs 24 V and deal with the line loss."/

These numbers are at least somewhat consistent with the 4 to 13 ohm motor winding resistance range spec in the Prosistel manual.

And, yes, it would be nice if the manufacturer's provided more specific guidance. It could be as simple as providing a maximum loop resistance for the wires providing power to the motor.

I believe 0.75 mm2 wire is US equivalent of 18 AWG which is pretty small for
a motor that could be hundreds of feet away. Definitely the length matters
and the manual should have specified that. It would be nice if rotator
manufactures supplied the voltage and current specs so anyone with a little
knowledge of Ohm's law could figure out the appropriate wire size to use.
House wiring has codes on allowable voltage drop, I believe it is 5%, and
wires need to be sized accordingly.

Manual says to use no less than 0.75 mm2 wires. Don't talk about the length
